Terms of Service

Effective date: September 24, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Softlane’s website design, development, hosting, maintenance, and related services (“Services”).

By purchasing a Softlane subscription, creating an account, or using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

Softlane provides subscription-based website design and development services for businesses and professionals.

Depending on the plan selected, the Services may include website design, development, hosting, maintenance, responsive design, website updates, integrations, and other features described on the Softlane website or at checkout.

Softlane currently offers subscription plans priced at:

  • $99 per month
  • $199 per month
  • $299 per month

The features, page limits, services, and other benefits included with each plan are those shown on the Softlane website at the time of purchase.

Softlane may introduce, remove, or modify plans in the future.

2. Website Delivery

Softlane aims to provide the initial version of your website within the delivery timeframe advertised for your selected plan, including our advertised 48-hour delivery where applicable.

The delivery period begins once Softlane has received all information, content, access, images, branding materials, and other items reasonably required to begin the project.

Delivery times are estimates unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

Delays caused by missing information, delayed feedback, third-party services, technical issues, or requests outside the original scope may extend the delivery time.

3. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing Softlane with accurate information and the materials required to create and maintain your website.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use any text, images, logos, trademarks, videos, files, or other materials you provide to Softlane.

You are responsible for reviewing your website and notifying Softlane of any errors, inaccurate information, or requested changes.

Softlane is not responsible for legal claims or disputes arising from materials supplied or requested by the client.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Softlane Services are provided on a recurring monthly subscription basis unless otherwise stated.

Your subscription will automatically renew each month until cancelled.

The applicable subscription fee will be charged automatically to the payment method provided at checkout at the beginning of each billing period.

Taxes, VAT, or other applicable charges may be added where required.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Paddle or another payment provider selected by Softlane.

Softlane does not directly store your full payment card information.

5. Cancel Anytime

You may cancel your Softlane subscription at any time. There are no long-term subscription commitments.

When you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

You will not be charged for another billing period after your cancellation takes effect.

Cancellation does not normally entitle you to a refund for amounts already paid or unused time remaining in your current billing period, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Softlane.

You may subscribe again at a later date, subject to the plans and pricing available at that time.

6. Refunds

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started.

If Softlane is unable to provide a Service that you have paid for, Softlane may, where appropriate, provide a refund, account credit, extension, or another reasonable remedy.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

7. What Happens When Your Subscription Ends

Softlane’s website service, hosting, maintenance, updates, and related services are provided as part of an active subscription.

When your subscription ends, Softlane may stop providing these Services and may disable or unpublish your website after the end of your paid billing period.

Any original materials supplied by you, including your logo, branding, photographs, text, videos, and other content, remain yours.

Cancellation does not automatically transfer ownership of or access to Softlane’s source code, templates, development environment, internal systems, reusable components, hosting infrastructure, or other proprietary materials.

If you would like to transfer or purchase your website after cancelling your subscription, you may contact Softlane to discuss any available transfer or buyout options.

Any such transfer may be subject to a separate fee and agreement.

8. Website Updates and Revisions

Website updates and revisions are subject to the scope and limits of your selected subscription plan.

Requests that substantially change the original project, require significant custom development, involve complex integrations, or otherwise fall outside the scope of your plan may require an additional fee or different subscription plan.

Where practical, Softlane will inform you before completing work that requires an additional charge.

9. Domains

Unless otherwise agreed, you remain the owner of any domain name purchased or provided by you.

You are responsible for maintaining ownership and renewal of your domain unless Softlane has expressly agreed to manage it on your behalf.

Softlane may require temporary access to your domain or DNS settings in order to connect your website.

Softlane will not claim ownership of a domain that you own.

10. Third-Party Services

Websites created by Softlane may use third-party services such as:

  • Hosting providers
  • Payment processors
  • Analytics services
  • Email services
  • Booking platforms
  • Ecommerce platforms
  • APIs
  • Authentication providers
  • Other software integrations

Third-party services may be governed by their own terms, privacy policies, pricing, and availability.

Softlane is not responsible for outages, discontinued services, pricing changes, policy changes, security incidents, or other issues caused by third-party providers.

Third-party fees are not included in your Softlane subscription unless expressly stated.

11. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of materials you provide to Softlane, including your business name, trademarks, logos, text, photographs, videos, and other original content.

Softlane retains ownership of its pre-existing intellectual property, systems, processes, templates, reusable components, methods, internal tools, software, and other materials developed independently of your project.

While your subscription is active, Softlane grants you the right to use the website created for you for your business purposes.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Softlane’s underlying systems, reusable code, development tools, templates, or proprietary technology unless expressly agreed in writing.

12. Portfolio Use

14. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Softlane account and login credentials.

If you use Google or another third-party authentication provider to sign in, that provider may process your information according to its own terms and privacy policy.

  • Events outside Softlane’s reasonable control

Softlane may update, improve, replace, or discontinue parts of the Services from time to time.

Softlane does not guarantee that your website will achieve any specific:

  • Revenue
  • Sales
  • Conversion rate
  • Search engine ranking
  • Website traffic
  • Customer growth
  • Business result

Website performance depends on many factors outside Softlane’s control, including your business, marketing, market conditions, pricing, content, products, and third-party platforms.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Softlane will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Services.

Softlane’s total liability arising from or relating to the Services will not exceed the total amount paid by you to Softlane during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

19. Client Indemnification

  • Your infringement of another party’s intellectual property or other rights

This section applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

20. Changes to Pricing

Softlane may change its subscription prices in the future.

A price change will not retroactively affect payments you have already made.

If a pricing change applies to your existing subscription, Softlane will provide reasonable notice before the new price takes effect.

You may cancel your subscription before the new price becomes effective if you do not wish to continue at the updated price.

21. Changes to These Terms

Softlane may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, business practices, or legal requirements.

If we make material changes, we may notify users by email, through the Softlane dashboard, on the website, or through another reasonable method.
